Verse of the Week:
For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith for faith, as it is written, “The righteous shall live by faith.”
Romans 1:16-17 ESV
“Faith isn’t the ability to believe long and far into the misty future. It’s simply taking God at His Word and taking the next step.”
-Joni Erickson Tada
The faith that Joni describes is being faithful to walk out what you know God has said in His word. Yeshua said, if you love Me you will keep My commandments. John said, this is how we know we love Him, we keep His commandments. Yeshua said the two greatest commandments were to love God with everything you have and to love your neighbor as yourself. Paul tells us, we love Him because He first loved us.
Faith is trusting God, to lead and guide you, and if you do stumble, He is there to help you back up.
Live it out this week:
The just shall live by faith. Your walk with the Father is one step at a time. Take His hand like a child takes daddy’s hand and just walk by faith that He will lead you where you need to go and protect you along the way.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, help me to always remember that You are with me and guiding me. Amen
